FMF Powercore 4 (Made for the Tdub)

Space Age internal packing for maximum packing life. (What the heck is space age packing?)

Hi-Flo modular end cap. ( oooh )

Internal shape of core uses Hi-Flo technology. (This thing is basically a straight pipe)

Enhanced sonic evacuation provides for higher flow and increased power. (First ride I needed earplugs)

Removable spark arrestor included (Remove before repacking or else)

Pro's

Looks really nice on bike

Sounds good tearing up the trail. Or at speeds above 45ish

Takes 15 minutes to install (Check your high temp rtv sealant dry time)

Con's
Price $250.00

Slower

I spend more time in 4th gear now instead of fifth?

Damn this thing is loud (Low Bass Tones) without the silent core insert 29.99 .

Stay away from residential areas when not using silent core insert. (Instead of waves I get dirty looks)

Pipe to pipe connection has no clamps just relies on high temp rtv sealant

Bike went a bit lean after install

Eventually you'll have to repack it (Interval unknown)

Keep your stock pipe around if you want to take your bike hunting

I've fiddled with my carb jettinga bit and made over a dozen runs up a mile long hill near my house and hate the results that qwerty predicted. My speedo and two gps's all say I lost 4-6 mph. The fmf looks so darn good but for now until I figure out how to add a little more restriction to it I'm back to stock.

RM-HM, nice post, with pictures and all. At this point in my life, I like slow and quiet, with LOTS of low-end grunt. It does look nice and I bet you had fun installing it. Keep an eye on the neighbors, they may now be out to 'get you'. Thanks, Gerry

I gave up with the top end speed loss and sold the FMF

Well, it sure looked nice and you had a chance to see what it was all about. I still have to focus on getting on the bike once in a while. Take care, Gerry
