Hey all, I have a bone stock 2012 TW in white, I am planning out my mods in advance so I don't have to do things more than I have to. I will be adding to this thread as time goes on, and if there is a specific issue I will use other threads but for the most part I will keep it all here for continuity and timeline. Eventual outcome is a 70/30 street/off commuter and runabout. Not so street that I can't hop a curb and go thru a ditch, but not so offroad that I look out of place driving downtown.

More to come, and I welcome any input from others especially those who are going for this same general style in their TW mods.

First step is new handlebars and a round headlight conversion (hopefully also HID), I'm patrolling local classifieds for a headlight already.

Installed Renthal Fatbars with 20mm risers and was frustrated by the stock throttle assembly and kill switch module, they both had nipples to fit into holes drilled in the stock bars. I was very unhappy at the prospect of drilling into my new bars, but they didn't seat well and could still twist on the bars over time, so I drilled dents only, not all the way through, and pared down the plastic nipple with an exacto (the other one is metal). Switched the stock cable stays to longer black zip ties (due to fatter bars) and they look cleaner anyway.

Found a round headlight (and tank if it fits!) from a 74 Yamaha 500 on kijiji. Going to look at them when I get the chance.
