| Been out of the biking game for a while . With just a few hundred miles on my new TW I noticed the drive chain was very loose. I followed the owners manual and tightened the chain to have roughly an inch and a half play. The manual gives a wide range. Any thoughts on why there's such a wide range. Or any tips on adjustment would be appreciated. I would say it's a critical part of the performance of the bike.
Ps any tips on posting pictures to this forum would be appreciated.

| After a long period of frustration, I now find picture posting a pretty straight forward task. Here are a couple of pointers gleaned from our faithfull Moderator, Tracy.
Firstly, pick a hosting site that you can download and store your photos to. I use Photo Bucket which for me has become fast and easy. Once your photos are in place, you will find that if you click on one of your pictures, it will be displayed with as well, a few options as to what you want to do. Click the IMG CODE. This action should highlite the line of symbols and text. Your next action is to click "copy" thus capturing this address of your photo. Now, this copied address can be easily placed into your post (anywhere) by simply right clicking your mouse, and clicking on "paste". All this it seems, creates a link in your post to the hosting site, and specific picture. Initiallly, all you will see after clicking "paste" will be the same string of symbols and text [IMG CODE] that you ideally clicked "copy" on at your Hosting site. The picture should appear once you formalize your post. Hope this helped, Gerry  | |

| I looks likes you need a set of fold down legs to keep your trailer from upending when not connected to hitch.

| I got an O-ring chain and new sprockets. I have put about 3000 miles on them. I'm like still waiting for it to need adjustment !
That is my chain adjustment tip.

p.s. Dupont teflon dry lube (spray can) is the best lube for your stock chain or O-ring. | |

| Ok,so your chain slack should be measured on the lower run of the chain,between the rear and front sprockrt's.My adjusters on my new TW are one "click" past #2(heading towards #3), slack measurement was 1.1/16---1.3/8 "...the manual,if I recall requires a minimum of 1.5" and a max of approx. 2.25".With the aforementioned manual spec...1.5---2.25" wouldn't the chain come very close to striking the swingarm?. | |
