PostSubject: CANNED AIR FOR FLATS   Tue Sep 04, 2012 3:27 pm

I dread the possibility of a flat. What canned air flat fixer works?

My recommendation would be Ride-on tire sealant as being the best product. You put it in the tires prior to riding rather than when you experience a flat. Ride-on also helps balance the tires. Here's a link: http://www.ride-on.com/

Some riders also use Green Slime, and is applied in the tires prior to a flat, similiar to Ride-On. I've not used Green Slime, but I hear is corrode the inards of the tire/rim/inner-tube though.

I suppose a can of fix-a-flat can work, but I've never had any luck with this type of product other than for a very small leak.
