My TW200 has a clunking sound when hitting hard bumps. Sound seems to come from the headlight area, but cannot be sure. Sounds like what you would hear from a street bike with something bouncing in the headlight shell. Thanks

Yup, most of us have it, and to date no one have come up with a definitive answer. I now run a different fork completely and no longer have that 'clunk'. But as yet, no one has suggested the "sound" suggests or is associated with a problem. Gerry

Gizmo is correct on stuff. But, if you feel the need, possibly check the steering head bearing(s).....make sure all is within torque spec.?.

My '97 was a klunker and my '07 is too, I know of two other TW's that have the klunk as well.

Knock on wood, I don't yet have a clunk. But I installed different innards in my fork tubes.
