Hows that box been working for you? I have been trying to figure out what I want to do for a trunk. I will need it for my commute next year.
How did you attach it? U-bolts from the hardware store? Are the latches staying closed, or do you pin them?

I also have a 2006. This was taken the day I brought it home, not so long ago-

I have now made quite a few modifications. It is crunched in the garage due to winter here, so I don't have an updated photo yet.

The box works great. I just used ubolts with wingnuts for easy removal. here are some pics.

I used the action packer for a while. it was a little to deep for me. My back kept hitting it. I put it on a buddies bike last summer so he had something to use. I went to a tool box from Wally World $20.00. It is only 11in deep and has worked well for 2yrs but I'm looking for something else for next year. Most of my hunting buddies that have TWs all use the action Packer, there are about 6 of us.
Here is a pic of my bike loaded

This should be a picture of my rig. Boy, guess it is an old one. I have since replaced the stock tank with an XT600 and the white PVC tube on the rear holding two 22oz MSR fuel bottles has now been replaced by a one gallon Tour Tank. Gerry

Thank you so much. We are twins now ;)
I stopped by the hardware store and wally world this evening. It is all bolted up. I had to relocate the coupler for the dune flag forward, but that was easy.
I added some foam adhesive to the lid to seal it.
Thanks for the pictures and inspiration.

Henryj are you in E. Oregon or W. Seems a lot of people ride the E. side OBCT the trail goes from Wash. to Calif. I have a buddy that is going to ride it next summer on his KLR 650. His work does deliveries to Reno. He's going to put his bike on a truck and fly down and ride back.

Henryj, yea I've heard of it , my son youngest son played baseball for Yakima CC and they traveled down to play ball. We never made that drive. Although I tried to talk my wife into it. Lots of good riding in E. Oregon.

Lots. We are doing a winter run Sunday after Christmas. 124 miles with new snow all this week. In a 4x4, not on bikes ;)

If you pass through give me a heads up. I'd love to show you some hidden treasures in the Owyhees.
