| This is what you MUST see if you are about to install a 'new' oil filter on your TW. It MUST have the four oval cutouts in the rubber seal and it MUST have the four little holes (one per cut out). The holes seem to be responsible for routing oil to the head/cam. Some TW filters, even from your Yamaha shop have been mismarked and do not have the holes. NO LITTLE HOLES,,,DO NOT USE Gerry

| I have a 1990 Is this filter for every year I just bought a k&n also I am still working on posting a pic of my bike but could use a little help I scanned a pic of my bike on a dial up connection computer and am not able to get to the forums from that computer any suggestions? |

| Ok I have my pic posted and found the holes in my oil filter and was wondering which way the little holes should face when installing the filter? |

| You want to make sure you note how the filter was facing when you removed the old one. I believe the slots/holes are facing in toward the engine. Always note how things are configured before you take them apart. Gerry _________________ Be safe my Friend......
