automatic tw

here comes one for the books has anyone tried to install automatic cluch from ytm 200 tri moto into a tw I have been a proffessinal yamaha mechanic for over 28yrs and just got the idea for my wife who is clutch challenged just wanted to know if anyone has tried this it looks like it can be done . thanks jim

I have been thinking a 200 motorcycle with automatic would be awsome. I loved my 100 cc 2 cycle yamaha automatic scooter.

It may be awesome, but to do-it-yourself would be big bucks. The TW is simple, and that is what seems to attract many of us. I like innovation, but that is a bit more (of a mod) than I would want to deal with. If YOU move in that direction, let us know. Gerry

I'll second what mrgizmow1 said. I got pretty excited when I heard there was an automatic clutch that could be installed on the TW. I think my wife would ride it with one, but she's not gonna have anything to do with a manual clutch on a motorcycle. Car ok, M/C no way.

About a year ago I found a website (can't remember brand or website) and the automatic clutch looked really promising, then I found out how much it cost. Wowzer, big bucks, for me anyway. However, if you can afford one I think it would be cool, and like Mr G say's, share your experience if you do.
