| I N. Calif. the Summers are very hot. During this time of the year I run Shell Rotella (syn) 5/40. My temp gauge says engine runs abit cooler with the synthetic. Lots and lots of opinions on oil, I have not heard of any issues with the Amsoil and a few forum members have used it. Gerry | |

| 20w-50 should be fine in Texas!......10w-40 should be ok too......the 50 number and the 40 number is the main number's for HOT weather.......The 10 and 20 number is for cold...start-up.
Amsoil is good stuff!; finding it is the question here in SW Ohio. | |
