New Member Says Hello

Just signing in as a new member. I did not know about the "other TW" forum until the other day, so I thought I should check it out.
I run a small motorcycle school in northern IL - - - www.lrn2ryd.com - - - and I think the TW is the perfect training bike. I just bought number 7 last month.

I retired from the Navy in 1995, serving on 2 frigates, a destroyer, a cruiser and an ammoship. Then I taught high school math for 10 years and retired from that profession. Now I train riders from May until November with the school and I prepare taxes from January to May to pay the bills. The school is something I do for fun and just hope to break even with.

I do a lot of long distance and adventure riding on either my 2001 BMW R1200C Montana or my 2002 BMW R1150GS Adventure.

I'm always looking to learn more about the TWs - so I hope I can learn something from the folks on this forum. Hope to get to know a bunch of you. Larry

Well, let me be the first to say Welcome Larry. We do not seem to get alot of activity here since things got smoothed out on the other forum. The TW is a fun bike, I enjoy mine the most while exploring old logging roads. Gerry
